Our end of season club tournament - the Coaches' Cup - was a resounding success with over 100 children from U7s to U15s taking part. As per tradition, we played mixed age group teams in junior and senior competitions across four pitches. The weather was perfect playing conditions and children and parents seemed to thoroughly enjoy the event enjoying the giant screen, accompanied by refreshments and BBQ at Loxwood Sports Club. Thanks to everyone who participated, bought raffle tickets and helped the day be a success. A special thank you to the volunteers who helped run the tuck shop, the BBQ and countless other activities on the day.

Dear Parents,
I hope you and your children have enjoyed the 22/23 Season with Loxwood & Kirdford Youth FC and I am excited to share more information on the exciting end-of-season event being held soon - hopefully you will already have saved the date - you definitely won’t want to miss it! Coaches Cup 2023 - Monday May 8th This is an extremely popular in-house club tournament we have held in previous years which is back by popular demand and promises to be even bigger and better! It’s free to play and all children from the club are invited to join in. Players will be organised into mixed teams (the tournament will split into two broad age groups). We will be kicking-off short matches continuously from 10am until around 1.30pm (with more activities planned for the afternoon) When: 8.5.2023 Arrival: 09.15 Where: Loxwood Sports Association Ground, Plaistow Road In addition to the tournament, we will also host the end-of-season Awards Presentations for all age groups. There will also be a professional photography company “Club Legends” attending to get action shots and individual photographs for those who wish to purchase them after the event - more info will be provided nearer the time/on the day. This will be a highlight of the Bank Holiday weekend and we plan to make it a real family event so bring everyone along to The Nest - fingers-crossed for good weather! In the afternoon we’ll also have: BBQ - burgers and hot dogs will be available to buy (card and cash payment available) The Sports Pavillion bar will open Fun games including beat the goalie, head and tails etc… Face painting Raffle What you need to do next: ● Please make sure you have let your coach know if you are coming as it helps with our planning to know numbers (especially for organising the teams and ordering food) ● Donate a prize for the raffle if you can (again let your coach know as each age group will be bringing the raffle prizes to the event) We know the Coaches Cup will be a really fun and enjoyable event but it will also hopefully raise some extra funds for the club (as registration fees alone do not cover all of the club running costs). I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of the club. We have had nearly 250 boys and girls playing with us this season and a fantastic group of committee management, coaches, parents and, most importantly, our players who together make our club fantastic and we’re very proud of it. A final note as we look ahead to next season: Early registration will start from June - your coaches will update you but keep an eye on our website and social media so you don’t miss the early bird offer and benefit from the discounted rate. I look forward to seeing you on May 8th for some well-deserved end-of-season celebrations Best wishes, Mark Lacey Club Chairman P.S We’d like to show our appreciation and thanks, in advance, to the following: John Murray Butchers for providing the BBQ food at cost George, the owner of The Roger Tichborne Pub, and his team for sorting the BBQ, buns, onions etc! Our volunteer committee/coaching and this event team for all they do ensuring all of our players get the best football experience. All the helpers on the day (we will be asking for more volunteers so please let your coach know (if you can offer a bit of time before on on the day please) Our club sponsors: Our end of season club tournament - the Coaches' Cup - from U7s to U14s taking part.
