Ewhurst Rams 4 v 5 Loxwood
Team : Will, Tom, Liam, Charlie, Daniel, Paddy, Gethin, Ethan, Jack, Rowan, Ben (u11), Finlay (u11)
Scorers : Rowan (3), Jack, Gethin
Ewhurst Rams have for many years been our nemesis so it was so good to get a morale boosting win against the league leaders!!!.
Yet again this was a tight game with the Magpies winning by the odd goal in nine. Although this was an 'away game' the match was switched to Loxwood due to a waterlogged pitch at Ewhurst.
A win would have been a great feeling in particular for our ex-Ewhurst players Rowan and Paddy with Rowan grabbing a hat trick on his return from Injury!! Jack also weighed in with a great free kick and Gethin continued his excellent scoring run.
Loxwood started well and finished the third quarter 5-2 up, with Ewhurst pulling two goals back in the final quarter to make it a tense finish - but the whites held firm for a great win. Either way everyone should be really proud on a long awaited victory which should boost morale and confidence as we move into the last quarter of the season!!
Finally a big thanks Ben 'Sully' and our old mate Finlay from the u11s who came in and who both accounted for themselves very well.
