Dorking Wanderers 2 v 1 Loxwood
Scorer: Hamish
Team: Neo, Jack, Tom, Charlie Davies, Liam, Zach, Ethan, Charlie D’Aoust, Paddy, Will, Hamish.
Well Dorking have proved to be something of a bogey side for us as we don’t seem to manage to overcome them. However, this was a very close encounter and the whites only lost by the odd goal in 3. Loxwood started well and the game was very tight until Dorking took the lead after the second quarter, but the battle, especially in midfield, was a tight one, and chances were limited for both sides.
Then Dorking went further ahead but Loxwood kept going with the pressing game and began to get round the back of the Dorking defence, having the superior pace. And it was a deserved goal from Hamish as Loxwood pulled one back to make it 2-1. The last few minutes was end to end stuff, and chances went begging for both sides as Charlie Davies just missed out on converting when through.
So the game finished in a 2-1 defeat but this was a real determined performance that deserved more and Loxwood were very unlucky to lose out.
