Chiddingfold 1 v 2 Loxwood
Scorers: O.G., Tom
Team: Gethin, Paddy, Rowan, Liam, Zach, Neo, Jack, Charlie, Ethan, Nathan, Tom
They say winning can become a habit and this win made it three on the bounce for the Magpies who will now have their tails up going into the end of the season.
This was a tight affair with both teams limited to rare chances, but the deadlock was broken with an unfortunate own goal as a Chiddingfold defender swept a crossfield ball into his own net. But Chiddingfold showed their resilience by striking back with a few minutes to leave the scores level after the second quarter.
The game then sat into a rhythm with Chiddingfold having the majority of possession but Loxwood looking ever more dangerous on the break. It was the final quarter when the Magpies struck, having missed a couple of gilt edged one on one chances, some good approach play resulted in the ball falling to Tom in the box to slot home. Get In!!
Loxwood then defended resolutely without giving any real clear chances to the opposition until the final whistle went.
It is great to keep the positive momentum going with an excellent result so well done all!!!
