2nd March, 2019
Loxwood 9 v 0 Milford Jets (Plate Semi Final)
Scorers: Gethin (3), Tom (3), Rowan (2), Hamish
Team: Rowan, Jack, Gethin, Ethan, Paddy, Tom, Charlie, Liam, Nathan, Coalan, Hamish
Well what a way to follow up last week’s morale-boosting performance. As the scoreline suggests this was a dominant performance where the boys really put their chances away. Also a really big achievement this week was to finish with our first clean sheet so a good day all round.
The Whites started on the front foot in the first quarter with Rowan smashing home following a great through ball. Gethin and Tom then both netted to bring the score to 3-0 at the end of the second quarter. Milford then proceeded to push forward and were unlucky not to score but on the whole the Magpies' defence was excellently marshalled by Liam.
Gaps then started to appear in the opposition defence and Gethin and Tom (twice) scored again to make it 6-0. Finally in the last quarter, Rowan and Hamish added to the scoreline before finally Gethin picked up his third to get a well-deserved a hat trick.
The scoring charts now make for interesting reading with 5 players all gunning for top scorer with 7-9 goals each!!.
So we are now in the final of the plate competition. Bring it ON !!!
Overall, this was a great team performance where everyone made a great contribution so well done all!!
