4 out of 4 as Loxwood beat Ewhurst Tigers

Ewhurst Tigers 2-4 Loxwood

On a cold and dull morning we came up against a reasonable Ewhurst team.
After being on top and having most of the possession we found ourselves 1 down. And that's how it stayed to the end of the first quarter.
Second quarter we started well again. We had the possession and it paid off when Joe fired home from close range after a scrap in the box.
We came in at half time 1-1.
Start of the second half we came out a little slow and the game became a little scrappy and soon we went 2-1 behind.
With the game continuing to be slightly scrappy Ewhurst had a few more chances and with a few last ditch tackles and saves from Charlie in the goal it kept us in the game, and some last ditch blocks/tackles with Eddie being the stand out!
Eventually the ball fell to Jayden outside the box who shot with power and the ball went in to the net through the keepers legs.
The momentum quickly swung our way and soon after Alex fired past the keeper from the corner of the area after a pass from Leo.
Not long after a long pass from Jack to Alex on the edge of the box led to our 4th. Alex's great first touch turn set him for a power drive in to the corner of the net.
Another win which we had to work hard for making it 4 wins from 4.
Well done lads!

Goals:
Alex (2)
Joe
Jayden

MOM
Eddie. Only Eddie's 3rd game playing an age group above. A no fear attitude with some tough tackles and short passing went a long way in a tough game.
